Amber McDonnell is the Senior Director of Board Operations for the University of Colorado Board of Regents, where she leads board operations and serves as a primary liaison among Regents, university leadership, and campus stakeholders. Since beginning her career in higher education in 2006, she has held leadership roles in governance, academic administration, student services, and international education. Prior to joining the Board Office, she worked for six years at the BioFrontiers Institute at the University of Colorado Boulder.
A first-generation college student, Amber earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Colorado State University and holds a doctorate in leadership for educational equity in higher education from the University of Colorado Denver.
